Session RPELoad & Monitoring

Session load estimated by multiplying perceived effort by duration.

Session RPE estimates internal training load by multiplying the Rating of Perceived Exertion for a whole session by its duration in minutes, giving a figure in arbitrary units. It is a simple, low-cost way to quantify how demanding a session was and to monitor load over time. It underpins many workload-monitoring approaches, including the acute:chronic workload ratio.
