Maximal Heart RateEndurance Physiology

The highest heart rate you can reach during all-out effort.

Maximal Heart Rate is the highest number of beats per minute the heart reaches during maximal exertion. It is used to set heart-rate training zones and to interpret exercise intensity. Age-based prediction equations exist but vary widely between individuals, so a measured value is more accurate.
